Dr. Katy Worman was born in Syracuse, New York (her mother's home state) and raised in Lakeland, Florida (her father's home state). Her family was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, and she is a graduate of Santa Fe Catholic High School. At St. Joseph's and Santa Fe, her faith in Christ was fostered and reinforced by Fr. Caulfield, who taught her who to turn to when her back was to the wall.
After high school, she earned her Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degrees from the University of South Florida and taught Special Education and Reading in her home town for ten years. In 2014, she moved to Laramie, Wyoming where she graduated from the University of Wyoming with her EdD in Education. Upon graduating from UW, she accepted a position of Assistant Professor in the Teacher Education Department at the University of Jamestown in North Dakota. In 2020, Dr. Worman moved to Sheridan, Wyoming, her husband's home town.
Dr. Worman accepted the Principal Position at Holy Name Catholic School because she believes strongly that children should be afforded not only a rich academic experience, but also a rich spiritual experience with Christ. It is Dr. Worman's hope, that she is able offer others the same kindness and guidance that Fr. Caulfield offered her during her Catholic school experience.
