The Outreach/Home Visit ministry was established by a group of caring volunteers who are Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. We address the needs of visiting the sick or homebound, whether they are still living in their homes, in the hospitals, or in the nursing homes or assisted living facilities. It is a privilege to bring Jesus to the homebound through visits and by bringing the Holy Eucharist to our special parishioners.
Please contact the parish office (307) 672-2848 to request communion/visit for a loved one who is homebound.
If you are comfortable with fellow parishioners who may be sick or in pain and if you have a true reverence and love of the Eucharist, you are invited to join this beautiful ministry. Contact Leslie Lube (307) 751-0251 to volunteer.
There are different types of care that are ministered but most require a commitment of one hour weekly.
The diocese requires a Background Check, Safe Environment training, and Defensive Driving training, which can be self-administered online. Training and support are also offered by the Outreach Coordinator so that volunteers feel confident as they begin their ministry.
