Holy Name Catholic Parish receives and honors prayer requests to meet the needs of our parish members and their loved ones. There is a prayer chain community, and anyone who would like to participate is welcome. Contact Tressa Thomas at (307) 448-0084 to participate.
Besides the prayer chain, we also list the names of those who request for prayers in our parish bulletin. If you want your name added to this list, just call the parish office. You will never be asked why; that is between you and God. Your privacy will always be protected. There is no time limit. Your name can stay on the list as long as you want. If you want your name removed from the list, just call the parish office. If you want to add the name of someone you know for prayer, please make sure you have their permission to do so.
Being one family is a call to enter into communion with God and with each other. Prayer is a powerful means to keep us united with one another. A family that prays together, stays together. For years we have had a place in our Sunday bulletin for prayers to be offered for the sick. This is important and we should continue to pray for each other as we face physical ailments, medical procedures, and—yes—even terminal illness.
“Although we will sometimes practice our faith alone—for instance, in time of quiet prayer or Bible reading—Jesus always meant for us to live and worship in community as well. He knew we would need the witness of others to build up our faith. We need brothers and sisters to empathize with us, to grieve, rejoice, pray, sing, and share with us. And of course, God wants us to not just be on the receiving end of that support, but also on the giving end. Jesus wants us to deepen our relationships with each other.” --The Word Among Us, January 24, 2023.
