Parents wishing to have their child baptized at Holy Name Catholic Church and its missions are asked to do the following prior to setting a date for the celebration of the sacrament of Baptism:
Please fill out this BAPTISM FORM
To really prepare well for the Sacrament of Baptism, we ask that parents watch two videos from the Reborn series on formed.org. *
We would also ask that you have your godparents watch a video from the Reborn series entitled “The Gift of Godparents” on formed.org.
After completing videos, call the parish office and schedule a meeting to talk about the Reborn videos and to discuss any questions you might have. All of the above needs to be completed before the baptism.

For Holy Name parishioners, the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation takes place each Spring with the Bishop of the Diocese of Cheyenne. Our Confirmation program is a two-year program (7th & 8th).
View our Confirmation Handbook for requirements and for more information.
Children in the second grade or older may be prepared for the Reception of Holy Communion for the first time. Our Faith Formation program and our Catholic School provide the preparation classes. Celebration of First Holy Communion is usually held in May. Faith Formation classes begin the second Sunday in September.
Our parish offers the Sacrament of Penance/Reconciliation on Saturdays from 2:30-3:30pm, after daily Mass or by appointment. This healing sacrament is to be seen within the context of conversion from sin and a turn to God. Sin harms our relationship with God and damages our communion with the Church. Conversion of heart is the beginning of our journey back to God. Conversion must involve a change of heart as well as a change of actions. Neither is possible without God’s grace.
The Rite of Anointing tells us there is no need to wait until a person is at the point of death to receive the Sacrament. A careful judgment about the serious nature of the illness is sufficient. The Sacrament may be repeated if the sick person recovers after the anointing but becomes ill once again, or if, during the same illness, the person’s condition becomes more serious. A person should be anointed before surgery when a dangerous illness is the reason for the intervention.
Please contact the parish office, or a priest if you or your loved one is in need of this sacrament.
Those who receive the sacrament of Holy Orders — as a deacon, priest or bishop — are consecrated in Christ’s name “to feed the Church by the word and grace of God.”
In order to aid the young people of Holy Name Parish to discover their God given vocation, a ministry devoted to helping in the process of discerning one's path to holiness was established in 2022-2023 academic year and is continuing forward. The group entitled COPs Club (Catholic On Purpose), organized by the Diocese of Cheyenne and supported locally, meets monthly on the last Thursday in order to enter into deeper discussions and practice on faith, prayer, Sacraments, Ignatian Discernment, our Identity in Christ, saints, Lectio Divina, Liturgy of the Hours, and so much more. There are also regular opportunities for food and fun and fellowship with those who desire to know God more. Should you or someone you know be searching for a deeper relationship with Jesus, please contact Saundra Farman, Ministry Coordinator for COPs Club, at 307-752-3788 or Katelynn Doherty at 307-760-6113.
Marriage Preparation classes are done with a priest several months (at least 6 months) in advance of the planned wedding day. Church law asks that Catholics seeking marriage, "who have not yet received the sacrament of Confirmation are to receive it before they are admitted to marriage..."(Canon 1065, §1).
